Job Description
Seeking an Entry-Level Mechanical Repair Technician. You will be responsible for performing complete operation checkouts, modifications and repair correction of problems . You will have the opportunity to repair critical components that make flying possible and safe for you, your loved ones, and for travelers around the world.
• Conducts inspection of incoming assemblies and components according to procedures and technical data
• Sets up repair and test facilities.
• Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications.
• Repair as necessary identified units that fail test or tolerance levels.
• Assembles fabricated parts, components, or units at floor stations.
• Use hand and power tools for part and component assembly.
• Ensure short cycle time repairs and returns ensuring quality processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Must Have:
• Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline
Qualifications We Prefer:
• Basic Computer skills for documenting repairs and following work instructions.
• Basic experience operating hand tools, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and test equipment
• Experience with measuring tools such as: micrometers, calipers, height gage, hydraulic gages, etc.
• Accurately read and interpret blueprints and overhaul manuals for assembly purposes
